New Creation

Forging his path
down the mountain,
Changing everything
along his way;
He is the raging river
searching for his one.

She is the sea below
passively waiting;
Arms outstretched
to receive him.
The river flows into the sea,
and the miracle is begun.

As He merges with her,
he changes her forever;
But she changes him also.
Together they have become
a whole new creation.

Love, sacrifice, patience
and courage;
Understanding, respect,
Prayer and commitment;
A heavenly foundation.

Love is clinging,
yet free and unfettered.
Both clinging and wings
They welcome and embrace.

Giving each other room
to reach and grow,
While remaining loyal and true.
Securing a bond
that nothing can replace.
