As into my garden I softly creep,
To see what beauty awaits me there,
Carefully looking for something to keep,
A lovely scent is filling the air.
Their fragrance wafting toward my nose,
Daffodils and lilies sweet,
The delicate petals of a rose,
Providing soft carpet under my feet.
Their presence brightens a dreary world,
Reds, yellows, purples and blues.
Proud little petals with their colors unfurled,
In every shade and every hue.
I gather some up from my garden sweet
arranging them in a beautiful vase.
And lay them at my beloved’s feet,
To see the smile across his face.
