Just where do folks get the notion
That it’s fun to go to the ocean?
I would much rather take my vacation
Somewhere other than a beach location.
The sunburn pain is bearable
The long-lasting “ouch” is just terrible!
And the mint of the chewing gum remedy
Is more like a farce than comedy!
O give me the English countryside
In a cottage to forever abide.
No gold nor diamonds expensive
Or drugs that I find so offensive.
Where the sound of my voice is far-reaching
And the wind offers lessons for teaching.
To get lost in nature’s solitude
Would refresh my negative attitude!
